CPS FCPS Admission 2024

CPS AND FCPS

You must be wondering what is CPS and FCPS. Any why not, every PG medical aspirant does. After the completion of MBBS studies, a lot of students opt for higher education in the field of medicine. Of course, it gives a push to their career and enhances their specialty in any particular stream. A lot of students take admission in MD MS, some in DNB, and some in CPS/FCPS. Nothing is less of a value. It is based on the choice of candidates. Choosing a PG course is always better as it adds up to the profile of a medical practitioner.

Why do people choose CPS or FCPS when they can go for MD MS?

It is the most relevant question that arises from many medical practitioners. The answer to this is very clear. It is actually a question in itself. Do you want to go for a lecturership after your medical studies? If yes, then go for the MD MS course as it is a complete package. Do you want to just specialize and practice? Better you go for CPS/FCPS. And why waste money when you have already got an option for PG studies in medicine for a limited budget. Why work with your sweat and blood for a higher cut-off when you can also get in a lower one.

Are these courses recognized by the National Medical Council?

Of course, these are recognized by the National Medical Council. These questions arise out of curiosity and non-learned brains. As a society we tend to follow the crowd and we are not much told about the other aspects of medical education. The National Medical Council gives equal value to all the courses after UG medical. It is just that we should choose the course out of our own interests and needs.
